Hannalee R. Isaacs is the 2020-2021 Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Eta Phi Zeta Chapter “Be the Change" scholarship winner. She is a Class of 2020 graduate of Chapel Hill High School, entering UCLA this fall where she plans to major in Political Science, with a minor in Anthropology or Sociology. She has already been extremely active in her community in helping to Get Out the Vote, and with many racial and social justice reforms.

Hannalee was an "A" Honor Roll student from 2016 through 2020, AP Scholar with Honor 2018-2019, a member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society, and a recipient of numerous awards throughout her high school career, including the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and Mayor's Award. She was the co-founder of Diversity Alliance at Woods Charter School, and President and founder of the same at Chapel Hill High School.

The Eta Phi Zeta Chapter established its scholarship initiative soon after the chapter's chartering in 1974 and has evolved ever since. In recent years, it has come to be known as the "Be The Change" scholarship where young high school seniors are asked to share their views and plans on how they would change the world.
